Good Day!

We are proud to announce and invite you to play in The 2nd Philippine Society of Baking (PSB) Badminton Fiesta on November 22, 2009. This is a play-for-a-cause badminton tournament for the benefit of the Rotary Clubs youth empowerment program: KALOOB KAKAYANAN SA KABATAAN (KKK).

The objective of this event is to raise funds for the Livelihood Program of Rotary Club of Makati-Legazpi: KALOOB KAKAYANAN SA KABATAAN whose aim is to train responsible youths who would take charge of the production of goods, and then man the project like a micro business, and also build a fund to help promote our PSB outreach programs whose aim is to teach basic baking skills to small communities and barangays. In this project we will be providing the youth of KALOOB KAKAYANAN SA KABATAAN a small start-up bakery business, and also provide the necessary training, to further the situation of their lives. Their skills and products will also be updated by the group on a permanent basis.

The 2nd Philippine Society of Baking Badminton Fiesta on November 22, 2009

Greetings!

The Philippine Society of Baking will be holding its 2nd PSB Badminton Fiesta this November 22, 2009 at the Metro Badminton Pioneer, Pasig City. This will be a day of fun-filled badminton matches among bakers, bakery owners, suppliers, friends and patrons alike. A day of camaraderie and fellowship for a worthy cause is how it is envisioned.

The Philippine Society of Baking is one of the nation's growing organizations in the field of baking. Our objective is for the greater development of the Philippine Baking industry by:

•    Educating the baking industry to a better appreciation of the importance of trained bakery production personnel.
•    Promoting an intelligent understanding on the part of the public of the fact that the production of bakery foods should be in the hands of specialized and highly trained persons.
•    Setting standards of education and training which will bring persons involved in the bakery production, technology, and engineering, the recognition to which they are entitled.
•    Conducting and actively disseminating baking science and technology information.
•    Professionalizing members of the association
